World School Milk Day 2010 is coming!

Over the last two years the Ontario dairy industry has worked together to develop World School Milk Day (WSMD) into a successful program to provide free milk to all students in nearly 70% of Elementary schools across Ontario.

The significant changes introduced in 2010 by the Ministry of Education including Early Learning Programs (ELP) and the new School Food & Beverage policy provided the impetus to offer the WSMD program to the most appropriate schools. The goal of WSMD is to highlight the role and benefits that school milk programs provide in helping to establish healthy food choices and eating habits.
