This year's World School Milk Day (WSMD) program in Ontario focused on the Ministry of Educations new Early Learning Program - everyday all day kindergarten (ELP) schools and new schools joining the Elementary School Milk Program (ESMP).
Goals were exceeded for this years program! Over 76,500 students received complimentary milk in recognition of this day. This included 85% of the new ELP schools and 200 new ESMP Schools, helping to establish healthy food choices and eating habits amongst students.
A big thank you from the dairy industry of Ontario to all the schools and volunteers for making this happen.
