Milk Class Prices

  DFO invoices processors according to the utilization of the raw milk components (butterfat, protein and other solids) in each class for each product. This information is for your convenience only. For accurate reference, recourse should be made to the Regulations.

The Class 1 billing constants which reflect the audited average composition for protein and other solids are displayed for Classes 1a, 1b, 1bii, 1c and 1d.

New innovative products approved on or after August 1, 2012 receive a discount of 25% (first 12 months), 15% (from 13 to 24 months) and 10% (from 25 to 36 months) applied on the butterfat and SNF P5 target prices of the final end-use class of the product for a period of 36 months.

Class 1C applies to new innovative fluid milk and fluid cream products.
Class 4C applies to new innovative industrial milk products.
The successful applicant will need to indicate to the Board the first month the discount will start to be applicable within a six-month period following the beginning of the production of the approved product. Products already approved under other similar programs or those approved prior to August 1, 2012 are not eligible for this program (no double dipping).
