Cheese challenge for The Amazing Race Canada partnership

September 5, 2019

Dairy Famers of Ontario (DFO) has partnered with The Amazing Race Canada reality TV series for a cheesemaking challenge.

Throughout the series, 10 teams of racing pairs travel around the country showing the best of Canada through challenges and adventures, with the winning team taking home $250,000.

Episode 9 aired on Tues, Aug. 27, and featured Thunder Bay on-farm processor Thunder Oak Cheese Farms. Teams raced to locate, slice, weigh and vacuum-seal Thunder Oak’s award-winning Gouda in the current Season 7.

Thunder Oak is a small cheesemaker that processes about 40,000 to 50,000 litres of milk a month.
