About DFO - General Manager and CEO

GRAHAM J. LLOYD, B.A. (Hons.), LL.B. – General Manager and CEO

Graham Lloyd was appointed General Manager and CEO of Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) effective August 2017.

Mr. Lloyd joined DFO in June 2011 in the newly created role of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In this role, his responsibilities included Board Secretary, managing DFO’s legal affairs, corporate governance, tribunal appeals, policy control, and risk mitigation.

Mr. Lloyd’s portfolio expanded to include Director of Communications in November 2012. In this additional role, he became heavily involved in government relations and managed the activities of the Communication Division. During this tenure he led numerous initiatives, including the introduction of social media as a communication platform, the expansion and improved efficiencies of the Milk Producer magazine, the expansion of the Dairy Education Program in Ontario school boards, and strategic messaging.

As part of DFO’s senior management team, Mr. Lloyd was instrumental in many accomplishments, including the implementation of the national ingredient strategy and seizing significant market growth opportunities.

Mr. Lloyd obtained a law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1993. He has experience in both litigation and corporate law, and his career includes a prior role as General Counsel with one of North America’s largest insurance companies.

Mr. Lloyd hails originally from Montreal and moved to Toronto following his graduation from Law School. He is married with two children. In addition to his role at DFO, Mr. Lloyd has coached competitive hockey for more than 25 years and is also a director of one of the largest hockey programs in Toronto.
