WILL VANDERHORST

 
WILL VANDERHORST Will Vanderhorst, a dairy farmer near Norwood, Ontario, was elected to the Board of Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) in 2013. He represents milk producers in the City of Kawartha Lakes, Durham Region, and the counties of Peterborough, and York. He has previously been involved with the Peterborough Dairy Producer Committee and other dairy related committees.

Mr. Vanderhorst chairs the Markets and Allocation Committee, and also serves on the Quota Committee, the Research Committee, and the Organic Producer Advisory Committee; as well as the DFO Advisory Committee for Milk.  He is also the DFO representative on the Agricultural Adaptation Council, and a DFO representative on the P5 Quota Committee.

Mr. Vanderhorst and his wife, Bernadette, are the owners of Vanderview Farms and have been in the dairy business for over 25 years. They milk 50 cows, with close to 100 head of cattle and crop about 325 acres. Mr. Vanderhorst and his wife have five children, Adam, Annika, Alexa, Ashley, and Aiden.
