HENRY OOSTERHOF

 
HENRY OOSTERHOF Henry Oosterhof, a dairy farmer in North Augusta, Ontario, was elected to the Board of Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) in 2007. He represents milk producers in the counties of Frontenac, Grenville, Lanark, Leeds, and Renfrew. He previously served as chair of the Leeds Dairy Producer Committee and was on the local DHI Committee. He also has served on the board of Eastern Breeders Inc. and is a member of Gay Lea.

Mr. Oosterhof chairs the Quality Assurance Committee, and also serves on the Audit Committee, the Communications and Government Relations Committee, the Governance Committee, and the Transportation Committee; as well as the Ontario Advisory Committee for Milk. He is also the DFO representative for Dairy Farmers of Canada BalanceCo, proAction®, and the Livestock Medicines Advisory Committee; as well as a DFO representative for the P5 Raw Milk Quality Committee.

Mr. Oosterhof and his wife, Evelina, share ownership of a 90-cow dairy farm in Elizabethtown-Kitley in Leeds County with Mr. Oosterhof’s brother Alex and his wife, Julie.  Mr. Oosterhof and his wife have a son, Steve, who is also a shareholder and is working on the farm fulltime.
