Board Biography

RALPH DIETRICH Ralph Dietrich, a dairy farmer from Mildmay, Ontario, was elected to the Board of Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) in 2011. He represents milk producers in the counties of Bruce, and Grey.  He was elected Chair in January 2015 and previously served as Vice-Chair in 2014, and 2nd Vice-Chair in 2013.

Mr. Dietrich has previously served as a director and chair of Gay Lea Co-operative, and has long been involved in agricultural politics. He has also served as past chair of The Ontario Co-operative Association Board, and on many church councils and minor sports associations.

Mr. Dietrich serves as chair of the Ontario Advisory Committee for Milk, and chair of the Ontario Advisory Committee for Transportation. He is also a DFO representative on the Canadian Milk Supply Management Committee, and the P5 Supervisory Body. Mr. Dietrich also serves on the Board of Directors of Dairy Farmers of Canada.

Mr. Dietrich and his wife, Jayne, along with one of their sons Greg, and son-in-law, Andrew, operate Character Dairy Genetics milking 90 cows near Mildmay, Ontario.
