SID ATKINSON 

 
SID ATKINSON Sid Atkinson, a dairy farmer from Roseneath, Ontario, was elected to the Board of Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) in 2004. He represents milk producers in the counties of Hastings, Lennox & Addington, Northumberland, and Prince Edward.

Mr. Atkinson chairs the Organic Producer Advisory Committee, and also serves on the Markets & Allocation Committee, and the Transportation Committee; as well as the DFO Advisory Committee for Transportation. He is also a representative for proAction. Mr. Atkinson also serves on the Board of Directors for Dairy Farmers of Canada.

Mr. Atkinson and his family operate a 700-acre dairy farm with cash crop and forestry sideline in Northumberland County, milking 70 cows with a total herd of 150 in a free-stall barn. Mr. Atkinson and his wife, Karen, have two sons, Mark and David, with all members of the family very active in the farm operation.
